The Revenue Offices of NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT have released Revenue Ruling PTA038 (Ruling PTA038), which assists employers and principals in determining whether a worker is a common law employee, as opposed to an independent contractor, for payroll tax purposes.
