The State Treasurer, the Hon Eric Roozendaal, has handed down the 2010-11 NSW State Budget.

Today's Budget is the NSW Government's final Budget before the 2011 State Election.

NSW Business Chamber's policy advisers participated in the State Budget Lockup and they have completed a detailed overview of the State Budget.

This State Budget Overview details the range of Budget measures that will impact your business.

In particular, the Government's decision to continue with the payroll tax reduction program is welcome. The additional cuts to payroll tax announced today will save NSW businesses over $300 million. These changes will see the NSW payroll tax rate fall to 5.5% on 1 July 2010, and to 5.45% on 1 January 2011.

Importantly, this Budget advances the 10 Big Ideas to Grow NSW released by NSW Business Chamber in March this year.

Visit 10bigideas.com.au to see how the program is progressing throughout NSW.
